African American Book Clubs are meeting all over Southeastern Michigan.  Some clubs are enjoying membership in excess of 30 people while an intimate group of five still can have an enthusiastic and intelligent book discussion.  Book clubs with their passion for reading meet in homes, libraries, bookstores, restaurants and other creative venues.

The question now is – how many African American Book Clubs are located in the Southeastern Michigan area and when and where do they meet?  How can they be found?  Do names of the book clubs suggest that they exclusively read African American literature or include other genres?  And finally, what are they reading?

It is time to find out....
